Matthew F. McGahren
Matthew F. McGahren
Founding Attorney · Managing Member
Matthew F. McGahren is the managing partner of McGahren Law. He is passionate about fighting for people harmed due to negligence—handling virtually any case where the carelessness of another has caused pain and suffering or loss of life.
After graduating from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1992, Matthew began his career at Henson Law Firm, a multi-state personal injury practice that exclusively handled automobile collisions, workers’ compensation, and social security disability.
In 1994, he was assigned to open the firm’s Atlanta branch office. Two years later, he founded McGahren Law to build the kind of practice he believes clients deserve—one that values personal relationships, thorough preparation, and a willingness to go the distance when the stakes are high.
Today, most clients find him through direct referral—a reflection of the firm’s reputation for personal attention and results-driven advocacy.
Over his career, Matt has litigated some of the most complex matters a plaintiff’s attorney will encounter, including a decade-long negligent security case on behalf of a 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing victim. His trial experience also spans wrongful death, premises liability, product liability, and catastrophic injury cases.
