Forsyth County has adopted the uniform rules of the road for Georgia

Forsyth County, Georgia – Code of Ordinances Chapter 78 – TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES ARTICLE I. – IN GENERAL

To better serve our clients, we like to keep current with changes in the law and local ordinances which can affect the outcome of their case. The following is one of many such legal considerations and in this example, the local ordinance of Forsyth County is adopting the standard Georgia ordinances, indicated by “Uniform rules of the road adopted.”

Sec. 78-1. – Uniform rules of the road adopted.

    1. Pursuant to O.C.G.A. §§ 40-6-372 through 40-6-376, O.C.G.A. §§ 40-6-1 through 40-6-397, known as the Uniform Rules of the Road, and the definitions contained in O.C.G.A. § 40-1-1 are hereby adopted as and for the traffic regulations of the county with like effect as if recited in this section.
    2. Unless another penalty is expressly provided by state law, every person convicted of a violation of any provision of this section shall be punished in accordance with section 1-12.
